Danielle Prescod is a 15-year veteran of the beauty and fashion industry. She is a lifelong fashion obsessive who spent her formative years in uniforms and relished in the opportunity for self-expression (and attention) that fashion provided. She was raised in Westchester and attended school in Greenwich, Connecticut, where she was uniquely positioned as one of the few students of color at her all-girls prep school.

A graduate of NYU’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study, Danielle has always been an avid reader and writer. She primarily dedicates her time to researching how subjects like feminism and social justice intersect with pop culture. She considers a decent amount of bad taste to be healthy. She loves Tik Tok, the arts, and staying active. You will probably find her exercising at any hour of the day and, on the weekends, she horseback rides. Danielle has done and continues to do modeling work for brands like Nike, Tory Burch, GAP, Fila, Anthropolgie, Madewell, Saks, Diane von Furstenberg, and Banana Republic. In 2018, Danielle was honored by dating app Bumble as one of the ‘100 Most Inspiring New Yorkers’ and featured in a print campaign in the Times Square subway.

Throughout her career, Danielle has written several viral stories as well as ideated and produced successful video franchises. Danielle’s most recent video series, The Glam Gap and Body of Work focus on two of her passions, highlighting discrimination and injustices against Black women in the beauty industry and people who have transformed their bodies and health without the use of plastic surgery. The Glam Gap and Body of Work can be seen on YouTube and currently has over 668k views and 5M views respectively. Her work can be found on Elle.com, InStyle.com, HarpersBazaar.com, ManRepeller.com, and BET.com. She has guested on various podcasts and loves to participate in editorial content for brands like The Coveteur, New York Magazine’s The Cut, and Refinery29 whenever possible.

Danielle has recently been interviewed by CNN, Fox, Vogue Business, Business of Fashion, and Glossy about her anti-racism work and ways the fashion and beauty industry can work to become more inclusive overall.
